그리스 신화에 등장하는 신들의 음식을 의미하는 암브로시아
이 그룹은 1971년 고교 동창인 데이비드 팩(기타, 보컬)과
조 푸에타(베이스, 보컬)의 주도하에 결성된 그룹으로
크리스토퍼 노스(키보드)와 버레이프 드러몬드(드럼)를
추가 영입, 그룹의 라인업을 완성한다.
아트 락 그룹 암브로시아는 유명한 지휘자 주빈 메타에 의해
픽업되어 데뷔 초기부터 관심을 많이 끌었던 그룹이다.
아트 락의 시대가 저물어가던 시기에 활동하던 팀으로
클래식과 대중음악 사이의 벽을 허물기 위해 나름 노력을 했던 그룹이다.
유명 지휘자의 픽업에 알란 파슨스의 참여로 상당한
기대를 받았고 나름 실력과 인기를 얻은 그룹이다.
